Alptöss Alptöss

Legend has it that the Alptöss come from the sky, flying alongside the enigmatic Jarga, while others believe they were the first awakened beings to grace the ancient world. At one time, they ruled over the vast lands with an advanced civilization that has since crumbled. Tragically, they lost the ability to repopulate, and their numbers dwindled until they eventually perished. However, a select few discovered the secret to immortality by harnessing the power of the “Etzhon” – the floating islands atop Ehlḯnor’s largest lake.

With an average height of seven feet, both male and female Alptöss possess an ashy skin that’s rough to the touch. They derive sustenance from the sun, their nerve cords connecting them to the revered Permā Tree. The tree, in turn, depends on the Alptöss for its growth. This symbiotic relationship has existed for centuries. While they can absorb electrical elements, they’re highly susceptible to fire, which can easily burn their delicate bodies.

They stood out as the only civilized race, peacefully coexisting with the diverse creatures of the land for centuries. They revered the elements, praying for the radiance of light and the roar of thunder. Their faith centered on the twelve original Jargas, whose divine spirits were believed to have created their world. However, they actively hunted Glastra to prevent destruction.

The Alptöss remained content within the confines of Etzhon until the discovery of a newly awakened life form in the East Forest. Due to their symbiotic dependence on the Permā Tree, they were unable to leave for extended periods of time, limiting their interactions with this fascinating species, which later became known as the “Ehlenda” or Elves. Despite this, they shared their vast knowledge with the Elves, assuming the role of teachers and mentors.

I still remember I played Starcraft the first time when I was 10, and I am fascinated by Protoss ever since.
